When Will Tickets Go On Sale For Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
With many guests setting their sights on a trip to Walt Disney World in late 2020 as a result of the current shutdown of the parks, its not surprising that a question we’re being asked a lot just now is when tickets will go on sale for Magic Kingdom’s annual Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
The short answer is that we aren’t sure just yet. However, we can use previous years as a comparison to offer some insights as to when you might want to start to be on the lookout for party dates.
When Did Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets Go On Sale in 2019?
Last year, 2019 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets were released for sale on April 8, 2019. Writing this on April 4, 2020, that means we should see next year’s party tickets open up in just a few days (during a “normal season.”)
However, with Disney parks currently shuttered around the world, cast members being furloughed and guests that wanted to visit the parks in April and May scrambling to rebook their dates, Disney may decide to delay the release of party tickets, dates and pricing until they have a better idea as to when the parks may be re-opening and the future impact that COVID-19 will have on the parks.
Do We Have An Idea Regarding Dates And Pricing For This Year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
It is all speculation at this point. However, here at MickeyBlog, we ran a post earlier this year about potential dates that Magic Kingdom appears to close early for “potential” parties.
Based on previous years, the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will probably kick off around November 6 and usually run until a few days before Christmas (December 22nd)
2019 party dates were:
- November 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, and 24
- December 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20 and 22.
This year our MickeyBlogger predicts that this year’s party dates will be as follows:
Estimated 2020 Party Dates:
- November 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, and 24
- December 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20 and 22.
Guests should note that this is just an estimate and that nothing is official until Disney releases word!
Cost:
The cost for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for 2020 has yet to be revealed. However, historically tickets have started off around $105 per person for early November dates and increase to $142.00 for the dates right before Christmas. Party tickets have tended to increase in price each year so we expect them to be slightly higher than last year’s offerings.
