Grandpa Recreated “It’s a Small World” for Grandkids
We love a great feel-good story here at MickeyBlog, and this story fits the bill! George Warneke of Portland wanted to do something special for his grandchildren. Since he is unable to visit with them due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Warneke got creative. He recreated “It’s a Small World,” his grandchildren’s favorite Disneyland attraction, out of items found at his home. The Oregonian originally reported on this toy-sized version of the famous attraction, and we are here to share it with you!

Since the Disney parks closed, many folks have shared videos of how they have recreated their favorite Disney rides. One family even recreated an entire Walt Disney World vacation right in their own home! Warneke decided to collect toys and small items to build his replica. According to the report in The Oregonian, this ride spans the length of Warneke’s 30-foot garage.
After Warneke recreated “It’s a Small World,” he shared a video over social media for his friends and family to enjoy. Evidently, the creation was a success. Warneke reported to The Oregonian that his grandkids were “thrilled and amazed” and can’t wait to see it in person when it is safe to do so. See the video below:
