My Disney Experience Shows A Closed Disney World But Only Until April 10th
With the announcement made yesterday that Disney World has made the decision to close its four theme parks and 29+ resorts indefinitely, My Disney Experience is slowly being updated to reflect the closure due to the COVID-19 virus.
Park hours on the app and on disneyworld.com have already been updated. Here’s a look at April 9th:
However, one day later (April 10th) the parks are appearing as OPEN.
That’s not all that’s available for April 10, 2020. Our MickeyBlogger also noticed FastPass availability starting that day.
Now, we need to be clear that Disney has not yet indicated an opening date and their official notice is that the parks are closed indefinitely. However, at the moment, it would Disney is keeping April 10th and onward open at least for scheduling purposes.
As you can see from the image above, the same goes for dining reservations.
So what does it all mean? Right now, it means that Disney World only appears as officially closed through April 9, 2020. Park hours, Fastpasses and Dining Reservations are available from April 10, 2020 onward.
However, a note of caution. We certainly would still exercise an abundance of caution when making Spring 2020 Disney plans with the spread of COVID-19 still unpredictable. This info however may be helpful for Florida Residents with Annual Passes who may want to pre-book FastPasses or dining reservations in case the parks do open up on this date.
