A Handful Of Reasons Why We’re Already Excited For Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
With the uncertainty around the COVID-19 virus, many families are putting off their 2020 Disney World vacation plans until late Summer/Early Fall. Luckily for visitors, a Fall visit offers the chance to attend one of our favorite Walt Disney World special events, a visit to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
With that in mind, we’ve assembled a list of some of our favorite things about this spooktacular seasonal soiree. If you’ve shifted your dates to Fall, read up and get your tickets today!
Mickey’s Boo To You Parade
If you love a good Disney parade then this special Magic Kingdom Halloween parade (exclusive to party guests) is sure to be a favorite! The procession kicks off with the ominous ride of the Headless Horseman down Main Street USA followed by some of your favorite Disney characters dressed up in their Halloween Costumes. It’s also only at this time of year that you’ll find that some of the 999 Happy Haunts from the Haunted Mansion have escaped for a nighttime sojourn through the parks. Villains fans will also get a sneak peek of some of Disney’s most formidable baddies!
Wear Your Favorite Costumes
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the only times of the year where Magic Kingdom visitors are encouraged to wear costumes to the park. Halloween Party guests can don your costumes showing your admiration for your favorite Disney film or characters! Half of the fun of a party visit is showing off your fantastic costume creations while checking out some of the awesome outfits of the other guests! Be sure to have those cameras at the read!
Devilishly Delicious Grub
In preparation for the Halloween parties, the culinary geniuses at Magic Kingdom are hard at work whipping up some wickedly wonderful eats and treats. During party nights you’ll find everything from Candy Corn ice cream to Jack Skellington-inspired cupcakes. With most of Magic Kingdom’s eateries adding something special to their menus, you’ll definitely want to bring your appetites. In addition, Disney will offer select treats that are COMPLIMENTARY with your party ticket. This means you can sample some of the goodies without breaking the bank!
Trick or Treat
After a visit to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, trick-or-treating will never be the same AGAIN! Visitors arriving at the party are encouraged to grab a trick or treat bag, a party event map and head to various stations throughout the Magic Kingdom to pick up some delicious goodies! You’ll be amazed at how much candy you’ll end up with at the end of the night so be sure to save some extra room in those suitcases!
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
During this frightfully fun fireworks display, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy are spirited away to a mysterious haunted house where they encounter dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a sinister gathering of Disney villains! This is a Disney fireworks display like nothing you’ve ever experienced before featuring state-of-the-art special effects, incredible castle projections and dazzling fireworks. Oh, and a big dose of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Exclusive Character Meet and Greets
Party nights are the place to be for guests that like meeting unique Disney characters. There’s a handful of familiar Disney faces that only come out on party nights. This includes the Seven Dwarfs, Moana, Jafar, Cruella de Vil, Jack Skellington and Sally and more!
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
If you’re a fan of the Sanderson sisters then you won’t want to miss this incredible stage show featuring your favorite characters from Hocus Pocus. Taking place several times throughout the night at the Castle Forecourt Stage, this wicked trio are joined by some of your favorite Disney villains in an all-singing, all-dancing show that is sure to “Put a Spell On You.”
Little To No Wait Times For Your Favorite Magic Kingdom Attractions
No Fastpasses needed! One of the highlights of attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that many attractions remain open for you to enjoy. Because party tickets are limited this means smaller crowds and shorter wait times. You can usually breeze right on to attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain (which we think are even more fun under the cover of darkness.)
Special Halloween Party Add-Ons
For those looking for a little taste of the VIP life while at the Halloween Party, there are two events worth saving those Disney dollars for:
