Painting Continues on Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom Amidst Closure
This whole Coronavirus situation is a bummer for sure. All of our beloved theme parks have come to a close as the entire world has essentially come to a standstill. During this time, I am trying to focus on the positives and I have a very magical one to pass along. Per these photos on Twitter from @ScottGustin, it appears that painting on Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom is still going on even though the Park is temporarily closed as of today.

As we previously reported, Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom would receive a “golden makeover” to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the iconic movie, “Cinderella.” No definite date was given when the painting would be complete but we were thinking it would take the entire Summer. Guests who had plans to travel while the Castle was repainted were understandably disappointed as they didn’t want to have cranes and scaffolding in their Cinderella Castle photos.
If the refurbishment and painting process of Cinderella Castle continues during the closure of the Magic Kingdom and the other Disney Parks, then wouldn’t it be magical if it was fully complete once the Parks reopen to the public?! Fingers crossed this is the case as we all need some good news right now!
