The live-action version of The Little Mermaid was slated to start shooting in London in nine days. Other projects rumored to be impacted include Peter Pan & Wendy as well as Shrunk as sequel to the much loved 80s classic Honey I Shrunk the Kids.
Added to the list is also Home Alone, The Last Duel and of course Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming thrill Nightmare Alley a Fox Searchlight picture which is now owned by Disney. Here at MickeyBlog, we also mentioned that Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Rings was already postponed due to the Director Destin Daniel Cretton apparently coming into contact with someone infected by Caronavirus.
The move comes one day after Disney delayed upcoming releases Mulan (March 27), as well as New Mutants (April 3 via 20th Century Studios) and the Guillermo del Toro-produced Antlers (April 17 via Searchlight Pictures). The studio also has Black Widow (May 1) and Artemis Fowl (May 29) still on the calendar.
