Check Out Last Night’s Super Moon From Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
One of our favorite things about a visit to Galaxy’s Edge at both Disneyland Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is that the land even has its own lingo.
As you stroll through the marketplace at Black Spire on the planet of Batuu, it’s not uncommon to have the townfolk at this remote outpost extend the greeting “Bright Suns!” It is the Star Wars way of welcoming the morning and all the day has to offer.
In the evening, the greeting shifts to “Rising Moons” as a way of saying “Good-Evening.” And last night Disney shared some images that are the perfect visual representation of this warm greeting!
Stargazers were of course on the lookout for the Super Moon last night (March 9th). Disney Parks Blog managed to take some incredible photos of the event casting an other-worldly glow over this Star Wars-themed land!

We think you’ll agree there’s not a more beautiful place to witness this lunar event than with the spires of Batuu as a backdrop. So why is it called a full worm moon? No, it’s not in honor of the Sarlaac from Tattoine, but rather is the day that earthworms start coming from the ground as the weather warms and the snow starts to melt.
