Riders Evacuated in Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover Collision
Yesterday was a big day for odd Disney news with the sinking of a boat in The Jungle Cruise as well as an odd disturbance at the Beach Club Resort. Today it looks like this shows no signs of slowing with the news that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover located at Magic Kingdom had a collision this morning.
Riders took to Twitter and Facebook to share their experience:
Our TTA train slammed into the train in front of us. Looks like we will be evacuated.

The first report we noticed came directly from Sorcerer Radio who reported that their car had collided with the one in front of it.

Here’s another report (above) that the PeopleMover is back up and running. If more details emerge regarding this story, we promise to keep you posted. Some are even calling this the #Chapek effect. A seemingly bizarre array of unusual happenings at Disney World since the announcement was made earlier this week that Bob Iger was stepping down as CEO of Disney and Bob Chapek was filling his shoes.
Notable notables since Chapek became CEO:
-Jungle Cruise boat sank
-Peoplemover trains crashed
I'm not saying they're related but I'm also not saying they're not— samantha (@manthapaige13) February 28, 2020
We’re joking of course but it will be interesting to see if it’s smooth sailing at Walt Disney World over the weekend or if any other seemingly random but unusual events occur. Keep following along with MickeyBlo and we promise to keep you posted.
