Meet Disney Institute Facilitator Julianna Alley
It’s fun when others pick up a truth you’ve known for a while, now. Today, that truth is that Julianna Alley is one heck of a teacher. The Disney Institute Blog outlined that certainty in a post entitled, “Five Minutes With…Julianna Alley.”

And, in her role at The Disney Institute — where she works as a Senior Facilitator — she is one of the chosen few to pass on Walt’s wisdom to those of us smart enough to invest in the time it takes to participate in #DThink.
However, I’m fairly certain that Julianna ranks among the best of the best. Thanks to her, and my own participation in “Disney’s Approach to Quality Service” last year at Disneyland, my own customers and co-workers (usually) encounter a little bit of pixie dust during our interactions.
No Detail Is Unimportant
Julianna’s time with The Walt Disney Company has seen many different uniforms, but her approach to customer service remains the same. She outlined as much in her Q & A.
“Over my time with Disney, I’ve had the opportunity to be a leader in 14 different roles and in five different departments,” she explained. “Throughout all of those vastly unique roles, I learned over and over again that there is no such thing as an unimportant detail.
Now that’s a magical way to start the morning. ✨ Thanks, @jmbishopjr, for sharing this #PhotoOfTheWeek from a recent #QualityService course! pic.twitter.com/tgZ5nICShR

“At Disney, we focus relentlessly on the details and, because I have worked in so many departments, I have developed a better understanding of how to create an ideal Guest experience in a variety of environments.
“This is exactly what our Disney Institute participants and clients are working towards at their organizations as well,” she told the blog’s editor.
How Disney Does It

But my favorite quote from the piece speaks to why she made such a great facilitator, and why I will return to The Disney Institute fold next week.
I enjoy using our insights to illustrate exactly how we approach our business, as well as seeing an idea really take hold in the minds of our participants. Often, when we share an insight, I see heads nodding and people agreeing with the ideas presented. I have had many participants share that they always felt a certain way about our company, and that perhaps they weren’t able to articulate it, or fully understand those feelings. However, after attending our courses, they see not only how we do it, but also how it could translate to help them in their own businesses as well.
Julianna Alley, The Disney Institute
Exactly. And I urge you to read the entire Q & A and be sure to explore the full breadth of The Disney Institute’s offerings.
And if you run into Julianna, say, “Thank you” to her for me. I use her advice and insight every day!
