NEW Water Park & Sports Ticket Add-On Available on Single Tickets AND Possible Park Hopper Plus Price Increase
As we sift through all of the changes happening to ticket pricing over at Disneyland and Walt Disney World this morning. There’s one change that we know a bit more about and wanted to share with you. For those purchasing single tickets to the theme park (NOT as part of a Walt Disney World package), there is a new ticket add on called – Water Park & Sports.
Let’s take a look at this option is it appears on the disneyworld.com:
So What Exactly Is Included in the Water Park & Sports Add-on?
Adding the NEW Water Park and Sports Add-on to your Disney World tickets means that you have access to the following locations & attractions at Walt Disney World Resort:
- Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
- NBA Experience
- ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
- Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf
- Disney’s Winter Summerland Mini Golf
- Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course (including FootGolf)
Now, the thing to be noted here is that if you go with the Water Park & Sports Add-On it doesn’t give you the ability to Park Hop. You can visit 1 theme park per day and then enjoy one of the experiences listed above.
The big news with the news Water Park and Sports package is that it includes access to all of the awesome activities at the NBA Experience and guests (under the add-on) no longer need to purchase a separate ticket.
Does This Change The Current Park Hopper Plus Package?
At the moment Park Hopper Plus will include access to the NBA Experience as one of the choices that guests can make. This is how it appears on disneyworld.com this morning:
The difference between the Park Hopper Plus and the Water Park and Sports Add-ons are that with Park Hopper Plus you can visit more than one theme park per day. So, for instance, you can start your day at the Magic Kingdom, head to Blizzard Beach in the afternoon and then over to Epcot for the evening fireworks. You would be limited to only one theme park per day with the Water Park and Sports Ticket.
Changes to Ticket Pricing Terms & Conditions:
In addition to the changes outlined above, Disney has changed the pricing for Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus Tickets.
Park Hopper:
▪️$65 per ticket for 1-day tickets
▪️$75 per ticket for 2 to 3-day tickets
▪️$85 per ticket for 4 to 10-day tickets
This is an increase of $5
Park Hopper Plus
▪️$85 per ticket for 1-day tickets
▪️$95 per ticket for 2 to 3-day tickets
▪️$105 per ticket for 4 to 10-day tickets
This is also an increase of $5.
Guests should also be aware of the following changes to tickets terms and conditions.
- Date-based theme park tickets will continue to have a usage period based on the length of the ticket purchased.
- Flexible Date Tickets now require that their first day is used on or before December 31, 2021 and will expire 14-days from their first use.
What Impact Does This Have on Walt Disney World Vacation Packages?
At the moment, it would appear that the Water Park & Sports Add-on is only available to guests making ticket-only purchases and not those booking under a Walt Disney World vacation packages which offers its own incentives, discounts etc.

Readers should also be advised that the options outlined above are subject to change as Disney makes alterations to their tickets and pricing structures for the year ahead!
