Marvel Future Avengers Anime Is Coming to Disney+ This Month
If you’ve not heard of Marvel Future Avengers you’re not alone. It is an Anime series that originally aired exclusively in Japan. However, Marvel is about to change all that and it will be one of the many series coming to Disney+ this month (February.)
Last week we shared with you a first look at Disney +’s official line-up of programs for late January – February. The first season of Marvel’s Future Avengers is slated to hit the streaming service on February 28th. Further details have been a bit scarce so we don’t know as of yet whether it will include the original Japanese with English subtitles or will be redubbed in English.
According to a recent piece in comicbook.com, a voice cast was potentially announced which includes Erica Lindbeck as Captain Marvel, Laura Bailey as Black Widow, Kari Wajlgren as Wasp, Patrick Seitz as Thor, Roger Craig Smith as Captain America, and Yuri Lowenthal as Bucky.
Marvel’s Future Avengers follows Makato, a boy who gains superpowers due to an evil gene manipulation experiment. Makato and two other kids (Adi and Kuroe) join the Avengers as young apprentices and are given the title “Future Avengers.” This new team must square off against villains while under the tutelage of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and The Wasp.
