Some Star Wars Fans Remain Unsatisfied: That’s A Bummer, Man
I say: This Aggression Will Not Stand, Man.
Okay, I’ll fully admit I may not be the right person to be objective about the current state of the Star Wars franchise. However, there are enough people bagging on “The Saga” that I think that one person blogging on the other side of the scale isn’t going to hurt anyone.
Especially after reading:
- Star Wars fans demand the removal of Kathleen Kennedy… NewsDio
- Box Office: Rise of Skywalker Turned Star Wars Into A $6 Billion Wash Forbes
- #KathleenKennedy on Twitter
And, frankly, I’ve been targeted by the worst parts of the fandom; particularly after writing:
And…
Hey, I have big shoulders. No big deal, man.
And, sure, I could write about a book about my belief that Kathleen Kennedy has been needlessly maligned; with that vilification being intensified by clickbait headlines and hyperbole. But she really doesn’t need a 44-year-old white guy writing from his bedroom in Massachusetts to defend her (or Star Wars).
She’s flipping Kathleen Kennedy (and it’s Star Wars) for goodness’ sake.
And after seeing The Rise of Skywalker for the fifth time and hearing Ewan McGregor himself say that the Obi-Wan series is in solid shape, I am not overly concerned about the stability of the franchise.
So, rather than saying:
I’m going to say:
…and watch a re-run of Resistance while I research a post on Diego Luna and the Cassian Andor series. After that, I might read a Marvel Star Wars comic.
You see, if you just pay attention to what YOU like, and be confident in your opinion, it’s a whole lot less stressful
