Reports indicate that Police on the scene arrested the father Andrew Todt at gunpoint on January 13th after the bodies of Megan and her children were found at the scene. Online sources suggest that Todt is currently at the hospital receiving treatment.
The family moved to Orlando from Connecticut and were staying in Celebration- a gated community that is owned by Disney World. Only about 7,400 residents live on the grounds. The Todts were renting the property but the landlord was trying to evict them after they failed to pay their rent in December.
The First Selectman’s Office out of Colchester, Connecticut where the family previously lived and where, according to reports, Todt was still operating a physical therapy business released the following statement, “The news reports out of Celebration, Florida regarding a Colchester family are shocking and heartbreaking. While there is much we do not know at this time, I know that the thoughts and prayers of our entire community are with the relatives and friends of the family involved.”
