Future Plans? Meghan Markle Signs Deal with Disney
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have been the talk of the world over the past few days. Earlier this week, the power couple announced that the planned to step away from their role as Senior Royals, become financially independent of the Crown, and make residence somewhere in North America. Since that announcement, everyone has been wondering where will they live and what will they do. While we still do not know exactly where they will live, we may now know what they will be doing as online reports confirm that Meghan Markle has signed a voice over deal with Disney.

The deal with Disney has been in the works for sometime as Meghan Markle actually recorded the voice over before she and Prince Harry departed for their six-week holiday vacation in Canada. The voice over was in exchange for a donation to Elephants Without Boarders which is an organization dedicated to protecting elephants from poaching and conserving wildlife. It is unknown at this time which Disney production the Princess’ voice will appear in.
As you probably know, Meghan Markle is no stranger to the entertainment industry. And both Megan and Prince Harry are no stranger to Disney. The couple attended the “The Lion King Premiere” back in July. In addition, when their new baby Archie was born last Spring, Disney presented them with a rare gift – a custom watercolor from Winnie the Pooh animation. The watercolor was hand-drawn by Senior Principal Artist, Kim Raymod, and features Winnie the Pooh presenting Archie with a book.

Is this the future of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry? Will they use their celebrity to raise money for various charities while setting up their new life in North America? It is being reported that the couple, even before Christmas, was accused by Senior Members of the Royal Family of “cheapening the Royal Brand by signing a deal with firms including Disney.” This is on top of the push back the Queen and the Royal Family gave this week after the Duke and Duchess announced their intent to step back from the Family. One thing is for sure, the world will be watching as it plays out.
