R2-D2 Just Rolled into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland!
Exciting new coming out of Disneyland this afternoon! R2-D2 has just rolled in to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
R2-D2 has always shown great bravery in rescuing his masters and their friends from danger. As a skilled starship mechanic and fighter pilot’s assistant, he bonded with the fussy protocol droid, C-3PO. Now, he is ready to visit with you during your next next adventure in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park.
After you spot R2-D2 at Disneyland Park, then head over to Droid Depot to start building your own custom droid to take home! Guests are invited to build either an R-series or BB-series droid as the parts come to you on a conveyor belt. Once you complete the building process, you can place the droid in an activation station to bring them to life.
You can then choose to customize your droid with personality-affiliation chips, color panels, and various other accessories. Then, sit back and be amazed as your droid interacts with other astromech droids and even certain elements throughout Black Spire Outpost. Make sure to make reservations for this experience though!

At this time, R2-D2 will just be rolling around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. No word yet if/when he will come to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.
