BREAKING: Update on The PeopleMover Evacuation
Just last night we reported on a large amount of smoke which caused the PeopleMover evacuation in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
At that time there were speculations of a fire, but we had no confirmation as to what was truly going on.

We have since received an update. Eryka Washing, the Reedy Creek Improvement District’s communication manager, said the fire department received a call at 5:24 PM. They immediately responded.
Within 10 minutes, the scene was cleared. Washington reported, “There was no fire. There was smoke”. She went on to stay that she did not know what caused the smoke.
As of 7:20 PM last night, the PeopleMover evacuation had ended and the ride was reopened. No details were provided by Disney regarding what caused the smoke and ride closure.
