2019 Disney Holiday Gift Guide 3
Okay, I’m not going to sugarcoat the situation. You’re down to one week left before Christmas. If you haven’t finished your shopping yet, you’re in some trouble.
But don’t worry! MickeyBlog is here to help! Here are seven more gift ideas for the Disney fan in your life.
Everything I Need to Know I Learned from a Disney Little Golden Book
For generations, Golden Books have taught kids about the wonders of the world. The same is true of Disney, which explains why this book is the perfect stocking stuffer.
This unlikely Little Golden Book compilation combines a series of classic Disney stories into one illustrated dose of literary magic.
Early animated movies like Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan join with more modern titles like Finding Nemo and Frozen. It’s a delightful concoction that the Disney lover in your life will adore.
Lightsaber Chopsticks
This one’s pretty simple. Anyone who read the name and laughed should buy it. Anyone who doesn’t care for Star Wars or Chinese food can skip it.
This gift is self-explanatory, but the fact that it exists is A-MAZE-ING. Some enterprising person decided to put LED lights in a set of four chopsticks.
Two are clear, while the others are red and blue, the colors of the Jedi and Sith. All of them light up while you eat, which means that you’ll laugh your way through your next Moo Shu Pork dinner. The Star Wars fan in your life will go nuts for this, yet it costs less than $18!
Meme the Game: Disney Edition
Do you know someone obsessed with social media? Are they always posting their favorite memes and other humorous captions? Then, Meme the Game is the perfect entertainment gift for them.
In the original game, you match popular internet phrases with expressive pictures. It…got pretty dirty. Meme the Game has cleaned up its act with the Disney Edition, which is 100 percent kid-friendly and fun. The premise remains mostly the same, though.
The player will get a phrase and a set of images taken from Disney animated movies. The idea is to match the expression of a Disney character to the words. So, it’s basically what hundreds of thousands of social media users do every day in a never-ending battle of one-upmanship. But it’s even better because it’s Disney!
Mickey Beats
As an introvert, I love music. I can place my headphones over my ears and thereby shut out the outside world. It’s bliss, especially in crowded areas like airports or stadiums.
As a connoisseur of headphones, I’m actually a bigger fan of Bose than Beats. I find that the latter’s bass is a bit overdone as a rule. Even so, Beats sells a headphone set that I want and would happily recommend to any Disney lover.
The Beats Solo3 product line offered a special edition for Mickey’s 90th Anniversary Edition. Technically, he’s 91 now, so these are about to leave the marketplace. Thankfully, Amazon still has them available for sale and indicates that they will arrive before Christmas.
With these headphones, you will have Mickey Mouse surrounding you whenever you listen to music or stream a television show/movie. Beats sells the most stylish headphones as a rule, but they will never surpass Mickey’s 90th Anniversary Edition.
Mickey Mouse Mount for Google Home Mini
We have a robot war in our home. We’ve pitted Siri, Alexa, and Google against one another in a battle of virtual assistants.
It’s become a game wherein we ask Alexa a question. When she doesn’t know the answer, we ask Google to test whether it’s more informative. If all else fails, we try Siri, but that’s rarely necessary.
As an expert in the field of saying, “Hey, Google,” I feel uniquely qualified to recommend this gift. While I love my Google Home Mini, it’s kind of pitiful looking. I’m a man, and men believe that bigger equals better. Google has built the Home Mini too small for me. But Disney has fixed that!
You can buy the Mickey Mouse model of the Den Series, which adds some mouse ears to the appliance. Plus, the base features red with two white dots, just like Mickey Mouse fans are accustomed to seeing. With this mount, you’ll get a count out of every Google question that you ask on your Home Mini.
PS: If Skynet becomes a thing, it’s entirely my fault. We’ve got more droids than the Star Wars franchise.
Pixar Popper
Popcorn and movies go together so well that your local Cineplex will happily charge you $8 for 15 cents worth of Pop Secret. It’s a fantastic business model if you can find someone willing to pay those prices, and places like Regal and AMC have.
However, Netflix and Chill is a thing. Well, it was before people born before the 21st century heard about it and ran the phrase into the ground. The point is that most people under 50 watch movies anywhere but at the movie theater these days. They still need popcorn, though.
Disney knows this and has created the Pixar Popcorn Popper. It’s exactly what it sounds like, an old school popcorn popper, not the kind that involves a microwave. You throw a bag of popcorn in the popper and watch the magic happen. Loudly.
This appliance will make 10 cups worth of popcorn in five minutes. That’s roughly $75 worth of popcorn at the theater, but you never have to leave the house/overpay for it this way. Best of all, the faces on the side of the Popcorn Popper are all beloved Pixar characters like Buzz Lightyear, Nemo,
ALL-E, and Joy. The packaging is quite charming, and the Disney fan in your life will love the gift as a retro way to make popcorn.
