Disney Springs Foodie Guide for December 2019
Amidst the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping at Disney Springs, this is a great place to bring your appetites. From award-winning restaurants to delectable snacks, Disney World’s downtown shopping district has it all!
Before the Yuletide Festivities are in full swing we here at MickeyBlog thought we’d share with you some December Disney Springs Treats that are simply not-to-be-missed!
Wine Bar George – Award Winning Wines and a Delicious Christmas Dinner
Accolades continue to pour in (no pun intended) for Wine Bar George– the wine bar and eatery owned by Master Sommelier George Miliotes. Recently Wine Bar was awarded Best Micro Wine List in the World 2019 and Best-By-The-Glass WIne List by the World of Fine Wine. This coveted distinction is similar to getting restaurants getting a Michelin Star! By that’s not all! Wine Bar George was also awarded the Best By-the-Glass Wine List With Coravin in North American! The World of Fine Wine also honored Wine Bar George with a three-star wine list (the best in the biz!)
So why not head over to Wine Bar George and sample some of these delicious wines while tucking into a delicious Christmas Dinner!
As we reported earlier in the week, Wine Bar George will be serving up a mouth-watering menu on December 25th. Highlights include Santa Carota Short Ribs, Red Wine Braised Half Chicken, and Chocolate Ginger Cake with house-made peppermint ice cream alongside select items from the regular menu starting at 11am on Dec. 25, 2019. For more information and to make reservations, visit the Walt Disney World Resort website or check out the My Disney Experience mobile app.
Now its time for a few sweet treats! You’ll find the delectable and stunning items above at Amorette’s Patisserie, The Ganachery, Aristocrepes and along the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail! Let’s take a look at some of the awesome treats at each!
Amorette’s Patisserie – This delightful pastry shop is offering a Holiday Petit Cake with Morello Cherry, Chantilly, chocolate chiffon cake and dark chocolate mousse. Other noteworthy treats include a Yule Log Dessert (made with red velvet cake and spiced cream cheese icing, an Ornament Macaron (made with milk chocolate peppermint ganache) and an Ornament Pastry (with bourbon hot chocolate mousse with marshmallow and chocolate chiffon cake.)

Highlights include a Chocolate Christmas Cottage (filled with peppermint bark), (our favorite) the Santa Mickey Pinata (filled with crispy pearls and house-made marshmallows), a Reindeer Pluto Pinata (filled with Reindeer Chow), peppermint bark, and chocolate stollen bread.
