Marvel Reveals Amazing Concept Art for Baby Thanos
First, there was Baby Groot. Then there was Baby Yoda. Now, we see Marvel concept art revealing… Baby Thanos!
No, really. I typed: “Baby Thanos.”
IGN.com’s Matt Fowler reported:
Now that The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda has captured everyone’s hearts…are we ready for Baby Thanos?
This past week, Marvel Studios’ Head of Visual Development, Ryan Meinerding, revealed some Avengers: Endgame concept art for a younger Thanos on Instagram – which was created when the film was going to dive into the Mad Titan’s backstory.
Happy #thanosgiving everyone! Here’s a cute(ish) take on the future mad titan! Thanks again to @ryan_meinerding_art for letting me explore this take on him! #mcu #thanos #marvelcinematicuniverse #conceptart #comicbookmovies pic.twitter.com/YubqKQFbYF

IGN.com added:
As Meinerding wrote: “Thanos age progression! This was done when we were going to show more of his backstory in the film. The ages are meant to be how old the audience would see him, not how old he actually is. So much fun working on this guy for the Russo Brothers!”
So Thanos wouldn’t have been actually 13 or 17, that’s just the general look he’d have and how we’d perceive him in human years.
Soon after, Freelance Concept Designer Ian Joyner tweeted this image of a baby Thanos (for “Thanosgiving”), thanking Meinerding for allowing him to work on the image. By the way…INFINITY STONE CRIB MOBILE!
Not A Fan
None of this makes me happy. I loved Baby Groot. I cry over Baby Yoda, weekly (and weakly). However, I draw the line at homicidal world-destroying baby despots. Seriously.
While I am not advocating Deadpool’s solution, I just don’t think we need to meet Baby Thanos.
