Its Official! The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is Back at Epcot
It’s the most wonderful time of the year Disney friends! It’s the day after Thanksgiving and that not only means we are under a month to Christmas but it also marks the start of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays at Walt Disney World.
This year’s stunning season event is presented by AdventHealth and runs daily at Epcot until December 30th. Visitors will find a flurry of fantastic events at the World Showcase where storytellers from countries around the World share their holiday legends and traditions. You’ll find everything from a musical tour of the Great White North with the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs to the Hanukkah Storyteller’s tales of diverse music and customs.
In addition, JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season, will share uplifting gospel, R&B and holiday songs of Christmas and Kwanzaa at the World Showcase Plaza Stage in Future World.
And then there’s the food! A highlight of the festival each year are the Holiday Kitchens where you’ll be able to sample festive goodies from around the world. Some of our favorites include the Potato Dumpling with Mushroom Sauce from Germany, Slow-Roasted Turkey with Stuffing at American Holiday Table and Canadian Wild Rice and Ham Soup from the Yukon Holiday Kitchen.
New for this year is also the Holiday Cookie Stroll. You can pick up a cookie stroll map and sample some delightful Christmas Cookies from around the World Showcase! You can even get a special cookie jar to carry your treats!
For those who want to ensure that you have amazing sightlines of the Candlelight Processional, consider booking a reservation at one of Epcot’s incredible eateries under the Candlelight Processional Dining Package. This festive offering include a 3-course meal at select restaurants as well as guaranteed seating for the evening Candlelight Processional performance.
