‘Continue Watching’ Feature Returns to Disney+
In an update that is sure to please viewers, Disney Plus now lets you pick up where you left off when watching your favorite movie or television series. The Continue Watching feature is back!! Disney opted to remove the feature shortly after Disney+ made its debut on November 12th.
Though it is believed that the feature was removed while Disney worked its way through streaming glitches it was restored as of Tuesday.
As you can see from the images above, the “Continue Watching” option now appears as a new role on the main screen. Similar to other streaming services, the feature displays your most recently viewed selections. If you pick a program from this section, Disney+ automatically gives you the option to “resume” the program or start again from the beginning.
Best of all, because the update was made on the server-side, guests aren’t required to download updates on your device. It also works across all platforms. That means if you pause a program on a tablet and want to continue watching it on your television you can as long as you’re signed in to the same Disney+ account on both devices!
