Festive Ways For the Whole Family To Ring In The Holidays at Aulani Resort in Hawaii
Any time of year is a good time to visit Disney’s luxurious, family-minded Hawaiian retreat – Aulani! However, we think there’s something extra special about visiting during the Holiday Season! As this stunning beachfront property gets ready to celebrate a month of holiday magic, let’s take a look at some of the incredible ways that families can celebrate!
Festive Character Meet and Greets
Starting on December 1, Disney friends including Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy will don their festive holiday attire to meet with guests!
Santa Goofy
Kids will definitely want to head over to Aunty’s Beach House as this kids club will be hosting a holiday cookie decorating workshop hosted by none other than Santa Goofy! This special offering will be available from December 2 – January 3 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is a small additional charge to participate!
Festive Movie Nights
Bring your beach blankets and sprawl out under those clear Hawaiian nighttime skies for holiday movie nights! This event will take place December 5, 12, 16, 19 and 23rd and all of the movies will have a holiday theme. This event takes place on the Hālāwai Lawn.
Christmas Carolers
As we inch ever closer to Christmas, carolers will begin to make the rounds at Aulani. You can catch them strolling through the Waikolohe Valley or in the Maka‘ala Lobby celebrating the sounds of Christmas!
Santa Meet and Greet
If you’re lucky enough to be staying at Aulani on Christmas Eve then we’ve got a very special treat for you! Santa himself will be on hand to meet with guests on December 24 from 8 am. Complimentary hot cocoa and holiday cookies will also be available from 3pm – 5pm.
Christmas Ka Waʻa Lūʻau
On Christmas Day, Aulani will offer a very special Christmas Ka Waʻa Lūʻau – a culinary and cultural journey celebrating the legends, people and natural wonders of Hawaiʻi. Just for Christmas, there will also be some holiday touches added to the menu! For the lūʻau, there is a charge and reservations are required.
Olaf as You’ve Never Seen Him Before
Exclusive to the holidays, Aulani’s pastry chefs will bring a bit of cool “Frozen” fascination to Hawaii’s warm winter days, with a stunning, hand-made pastry showpiece. The display will include two giant macaron trees with over 400 glittering macarons. A white chocolate tree will be the centerpiece, decorated with over 100 Mickey Mouse gingerbread cookies. The top of the tree will be adorned with everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf. The wintery scene will be complete with delicate sugar ice trees and snow babies frolicking in the “snow” with Santa Stitch. You’ll definitely want to have your cameras at the ready!
Holiday Treats Galore
Also, bring your appetites! This year, Aulani will have more scrumptious sweets than ever with candy cane Mickey macarons, holiday caramel apples, gingerbread spiced cream cheese coffee cake, peppermint brownies and much more, available for purchase.
