Aerial Shots Surface of the Avengers Campus Coming to Disney California Adventure

The O.C. Register has recently published an some aerial photos providing guests with a bird’s eye view of the work being done to create an Avenger’s Campus in the heart of Disney California Adventure!

The photos were taken on Thursday, November 14th by Bioreconstruct aerial photography from 3,000 feet with permission from air traffic control. In the main image shown above you can see the 5-acre Marvel-themed land which is located between Cars Land and Hollywood Land. This is the area was the former home to A Bug’s Land.

The headlining attraction will be based around Spider-Man which is taking over and expanding the sight previously used by the It’s Tough to Be a Bug Attraction.

Disney has already promised a state-of-the-art attraction (pictured above) where guests will sling virtual webs at escaped spider-bots running amok. It will (of course) have an adjacent gift shop dubbed W.E.B. Suppliers.

Next up will be a restaurant inspired by Ant-Man and the Wasp which is expected to be located behind the Animation Academy. The name of the restaurant is Pym Test Kitchen and in keeping with the playful films of these Marvel movies will feature food that is either too big or too small for diners!

In another area, Doctor Strange will be getting his own stage show. Disney has revealed that the show will use special effects and projections to simulate the ruined remains of Sanctum Sanctorum.

Last but not least, the area will be expanded to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout with a new gift shop that will welcome visitors to the campus from Hollywood Land and ensure that Mission Breakout is seamlessly incorporated into the new Marvel-themed area.
