Star Wars Hotel Construction Update
One of the most anticipated events in Disney World history is the opening of the fully-immersive, interactive Star Wars-themed hotel slated to open adjacent to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Though Disney has yet to announce an opening date for the hotel, our MickeyBloggers were on the scene this afternoon and construction is definitely coming along!
We’re excited to share with you a quick look at the hotel taking shape:
In the photo above you can see the building starting to come together complete with spires that will tie it in with the theming of the Star Wars universe!
Here’s another shot again showing the detailing being added to the top of the buildings to tie it in with neighboring Galaxy’s Edge.
We think the image above is great at giving guests a sense of the size and scope of the new property.
We can’t wait to see more of the facade of the buildings take shape giving a space-aged look to the whole property!
Lying just outside of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the Star Wars hotel will be officially called the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. A first of its kind vacation experience, guests will check-in for a 2-night adventure aboard a glamorous starship. Once onboard, you will have the opportunity to interact with characters and become active participants in the incredible stories that unfold around you!
The hotel is certain to be the hottest ticket in the galaxy with only around 100 guest rooms. The details in each room will make guests truly feel as if you are aboard a starship right down to the cabin window with a view of space!
The Star Wars hotel will also be designed to seamlessly connect with Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ve even been told that decisions you make during your Star Wars adventure will have an impact on the experiences you have at Star Wars Land!
Though Disney has not released official details regarding pricing, speculation is that it will be comparable to going on a Disney Cruise where guests pay per person for an entire experience package.
We are of course watching developments closely so keep following along with MickeyBlog for more exciting Star Wars Hotel news and updates!
