When Will the Christmas Decorations Go Up At Disney World?
Halloween is officially upon us Disney friends and you know what that means? By the time the weekend is through it’s good-bye Halloween and “Hello!” Christmas. That’s right as quickly as that awesome Fall decor came up at the theme parks, resorts and Disney Springs it will come down and those visiting the park this weekend will notice quite a massive shift in theming.
Remember: The last Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on November 1st. However, that evening the Magic Kingdom’s theming will seemingly change overnight as Disney’s team of hardworking elves start stringing garlands, hanging lights and readying the park for the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party which will take place on November 8, 2019.
If you want to catch a glimpse of this magical transformation check out one of my favorite Disney videos ever:
In addition to the Magic Kingdom, there are other exciting Seasonal Changes already happening across the theme parks:
However, if you’re visiting Walt Disney World the first week of November you should note that not ALL decorations and holiday experiences will be ready. Resorts tend to get their holiday decorations (including the gingerbread creations) up a bit later than the theme parks. Also, bear in mind that events like Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays will not actually start until later in the month!
In addition, for those planning an early January visit to Disney World, its worth noting that those Christmas decorations come down as quickly as they went up! Visitors to the theme parks in early January can expect many of the decorations to come down before the first full weekend of the month.
