VIDEO: The Making of a Poison Skull Apple at Disneyland Resort
Have you ever thought to yourself, I wonder how they make those poison skull apples you find staring at you around the parks? They’re almost too perfect to eat… almost.
Each year when Fall arrives, I am eager to hop on Pinterest and start pinning all the treats and crafts I want to make with my kids. I find that once the Halloween season comes to an end, many of those ideas are still sitting on Pinterest boards, completely unfulfilled.
Luckily, we’ve come across this video so I can watch someone else make what I did not this year. However, as in most videos, it looks so simple that maybe I’ll give it a try… next year?
The apples are covered in caramel and then coated with a layer of chocolate. Finally, they’re decorated with a variety of colored sugar, candies and/or colored chocolate. Yum!
At Disneyland Park, you’ll find that you can choose from a variety of these delicious candy apples – Poison Skull, Minnie Witch, Jack Skellington, Evil Queen, and Maleficent to name a few. You can find them at Candy Palace and Hunny Spot at Disneyland Park; Trolley Treats and Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff at Disney California Adventure Park; and Marceline’s Confectionery at the Downtown Disney District.
