“We Love Disney” Album Now Available Worldwide
A new compilation album, “We Love Disney”, has been released worldwide today. This album features many well-known and beloved artists from Sweden. Pop, EDM and R&B artists have worked together to deliver their own modern renditions of classic Disney songs.
“We Love Disney” features artists such as Mohombi U.S. GRAMMY®-winner, Kim Cesarion, Janice, SVEA, Latino star Mendez and a new rendition of “Circle of Life” with international DJ and producer Matoma and Kadiatou, whose music recently was featured in “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Mohombi
The vision with the new compilation “We Love Disney” has been to create modern versions of classic Disney songs that could fit today’s radio and streaming climate. The artists have been able to work with different producers and create updated versions that represent them.
The Artists
GRAMMY® and Billboard Award-winning artist Mohombi released his rendition of the song “I2I (Eye To Eye)” from Disney’s “A Goofy Movie” today. The hitmaker and pop star behind global hits such as “Bumpy Ride” and “Coconut Tree” has also worked with artists such as Nicole Scherzinger, Nelly, Akon, Crai

Mohombi
“I love Disney, who doesn’t? Disney is a huge part of my childhood. I grew up with a lot of Disney influences, and now my children are able to do that as well. And they also think it’s cool to have a dad who sings Disney. ‘I2I’ is such a special song for me, not only because it’s a Disney song, but also because we’ve made a modern version that could be played on radio today,” says Mohombi.
The classic phrase “Hakuna Matata” was the inspiration behind Matoma’s artist name, and also the inspiration behind his debut album “Hakuna Matoma.” Now he’s taking his fascination with “The Lion King” one step further by remaking the classic song “Circle of Life” with Kadiatou. Kadiatou’s debut single “Say Something” was featured in “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Kadiatou
”Some people might know that I’ve always been so inspired by The Lion King, and of course by the beautiful music, above all the song ‘Circle of Life’. When Disney asked me to put my Matoma spin on it I was so honored! I’ve got introduced to Kadiatou and when I heard her vocal performance it was so smooth and soulful, I loved it. I wanted to do more of a slightly upbeat sound to lift it up, but still keeping a connection to the emotion of the original. I brought in some of my favorite performers in Norway to give it some more personality, including an incredible sax solo! It’s all about the good vibes and that’s what I wanted to deliver this classic song for this amazing project,” says Matoma.

Matoma
Good friends and soul / R&B-artists Janice and Kim Cesarion have both covered songs from Disney’s “Mulan.” Kim Cesarion, who created a new version of “True to Your Heart,” has had a huge hit in Europe with “Undressed,” which also climbed into the U.S. Billboard Top 40 Mainstream chart. Janice, who made an emotional version of “Reflection,” had one of the biggest radio songs of 2016 in Sweden, and her latest single, “Hearts Will Bleed,” is a part of the official soundtrack for FIFA 20.

Kim Cesarion
“It feels unbelievably huge and nostalgic for me to do ‘Reflection.’ I grew up with Disney, and ‘Mulan’ is one of my absolute favourites. I hope I can surprise the listeners with my version. I’m so proud of it, and to be a part of ‘We Love Disney,’” says Janice.

Janice
“Disney has always been a huge part of my childhood, which I think it has for many, so this project has been fun to work with. Of course, some songs are a little closer to my heart than others, and ‘Mulan’ happens to be one of those who gives me glimpses of many fond childhood memories,” says Kim Cesarion.
SVEA is one of the rising popstars of the Nordics. Her hit single “Complicated” has just passed 23 million global streams. Her version is of one of the most current Disney classics, “In This Place” from “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

SVEA
“I’m a huge fan of Disney and I love both the classics but also the new movies. I chose ‘In This Place’ because it’s a new song that I really like, but also because I felt I could make it my own. Which I really felt we succeeded with!” says SVEA.
Sweden’s biggest Latin popstar Mendez has made a modern, uptempo rendition of one of the most classic, timeless and well-known Disney songs of all time, “Under the Sea (Bajo el Mar),” from “The Little Mermaid.” 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the beloved “The Little Mermaid.” Mendez is also a big star in his home country Chile, where his reality show “Los Méndez” was on national TV for four seasons.

Mendez
“I chose ‘Under the Sea (Bajo el Mar)’ because the song felt natural to me with the rhythm and energy. If you listen to the original version, you can feel the Caribbean and the happiness I convey in my own music. For me it was obvious to just try to do the best version possible of such a happy song as ‘Under the Sea (Bajo el Mar),’” says Mendez.
