Still here? Good.
“Reylo” Confirmed?
PiratesandPrincesses.net reported, citing the (unfortunately titled) blog “Disney Star Wars is Dumb”:
Oopsie!
Did Lucasfilm inadvertently prove that Rey and Kylo Ren will join forces in The Rise of Skywalker, by filing a copyright claim on videos showing a few images of the pair presumably fighting Emperor Palpatine together?
…YouTuber WorldofGeekdom got hit with a Copyright Claim by Lucasfilm for daring to show the images.
A Total Disaster?
PiratesandPrincesses.net also cited a tweet:
Disney is blocking videos showing this image. Thanks for confirming it 😅

They added:
So it would appear that Kylo does “turn to the light” at some point, and even wields a blue lightsaber.
Rey and Ben Team Up (Again)?
Good stuff, all around; especially so because I don’t believe that Ben Solo would EVER let Rey fall to either the Dark Side or a resurrected Darth Sidious.
But the title of the PiratesandPrincesses article is “Did Lucasfilm Confirm ‘Reylo’ in ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ by Copyright Claiming YouTube Videos?”
My answer is “no.” And while I think that there may be a romantic pairing of Rey and Kylo, I don’t think the claim means anything besides Lucasfilm being annoyed that major pieces of the plot — i.e. a team-up of Rey and Ben — are already in the ether.
AND, let’s remember that Kylo and Rey have already teamed up once before. Now, it VERY interesting that Ben is holding a blue lightsaber, leading some to speculate that he’s somehow acquired Leia’s laser sword.
Wait. What? Princess Leia’s lightsaber? Never mind “Reylo,” I want to know more about that!
