A First Look at the Cast of ABC’s ‘Little Mermaid Live’ Cast in Character
We are only a couple of weeks away from “The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!” which will air live on ABC Tuesday, November 5 ( 8:00 – 10:00 pm EST.) As we inch ever closer, more exciting details are starting to emerge including cast photos which were released on Entertainment Weekly this week.
Check out this fun-filled look at some of the leads from the show – in character!
Auli’i Cravalho-Ariel
You probably know her as the voice of Moana but she’ll also be playing Ariel when The Little Mermaid Live! airs next month. Check out this awesome photo of her getting ready to flip her fins onto our television screens.
Graham Phillips-Prince Eric
The role of Ariel’s love interest is going to Graham Phillips which you may recognize as Julianna Marguiles’ son on The Good Wife. Phillips has also appeared on Riverdale and Atypical. He’s also a Broadway veteran having appeared in the show 13.
Queen Latifah- Ursula
We can’t decide what we like more: The fact that we get to hear Queen Latifah belt it out as Ursula or that her hair is absolutely spectacular! Either way this Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe Winner is sure to blow us away!
John Stamos-Chef Louis
Though he’ll always be Uncle Jesse to us, John Stamos is actually no stranger to this poisson-loving chef. He actually played the role during the at the Hollywood Bowl’s production of The Little Mermaid back in 2016.
Shaggy- Sebastian
We can’t think of a better person to lead the hot crustacean band than reggae musician Shaggy who is sure to add a big dose of those island vibes to the production!
As we previously mentioned here on MickeyBlog, The Little Mermaid Live! will honor the 30th anniversary of the much-loved animated classic with a hybrid production infusing the film with live musical performances and a star-studded cast. This live musical event will even feature intricate sets and costumes by Emmy Award-winning designer Zaldy and feature songs from the Tony Award-nominated Stage version.
Don’t miss your chance to check out this stunning production on November 5th and be sure to keep following along with MickeyBlog for the latest news and updates!
