Epcot Bartender Competes To Be Crowned Most Imaginative Bartender With A Must-Try Cocktail

As anyone who has drunk their way around the World Showcase will tell you, Disney’s bartenders are some of the best in the biz. That’s why we’re not surprised to hear that Peter Hannah who can often be seen pouring pints and mixing up amazing libations at the Rose & Crown Pub in the UK Pavilion may be one his way to winning the 13th Most Imaginative Bartender Competition. 

According to a recent piece in the Orlando Sentinel, Hannah is off to Philadelphia (as a semifinalist) to wow the judges with a crafty cocktail that we’re excited to tell you about!

A native of Liverpool, England. Hannah has dubbed his imaginative elixir  “Conversation Piece.” His goal was to create a stirred drink featuring Bombay Sapphire but with additional ingredients not typically associated with a gin-based mixed drink.  This includes cassia-infused bitters and a famous Britsh flavor – Banoffee (banana and butterscotch pie).  But this creative mixologist doesn’t stop there. The drink also includes liquorice bitters adding a hint of root, mint, absinthe and green chartreuse.

If Hannah makes the final cut in Philadelphia his next stop will be back to England which is the home of Bombay Sapphire for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Laverstoke Distillery. He’ll also compete for the $25,000 grand prize in the finals which will take place early next year.
