Permit Pulled for Message Boards at Magic Kingdom Toll Plaza
Details are scant, but it looks like the entry for Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park will soon receive a new accouterment.
Permits have been pulled for new signage, which gives a clue as to what this space will soon look like.

Disney World will be adding a variable message sign to the Magic Kingdom toll plaza, according to documents filed with Orange County.
A notice of commencement from this week is pretty straight forward, calling for a “Magic Kingdom Toll Plaza Variable Message Sign.” Beyond that, not many details are included in the document other than Don Bell Signs, LLC is the contractor on the project.
Variable message signs are typically electronic traffic signs used to give drivers updated information. Disney could use it to let guests know park hours, special event hours, or a range of other information.
Having driven to the Magic Kingdom several times, more specific information being available as you enter the Magic Kingdom would be hugely helpful. However, as we don’t know very much about the new signage, we’ll keep a solid eye on the space as this story develops.
