Could Yoda Be Coming to Disney+ in His Own Series
Not many Star Wars characters have captured the imagination of fans of all ages quite like Yoda, Luke Skywalkers mentor and renowned Jedi Master. With the launch of the new Disney+ streaming service in November, tongues have been wagging about potential projects from the Star Wars universe. We have been chatting about Jon Favreau’s project Mandalorian for ages. But it looks like that’s not the only Star Wars series heading to the Streaming Service. We’ve been hearing murmurings that a Yoda series may be in the works!
Rumor has it that Lucasfilm’s initial intentions were to give characters like Yoda their own spinoff movie, however, the disappointing performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story made the company rethink the project and now, it looks like Yoda will be getting a Disney Plus series instead.
According to a recent report in We Got This Covered, the proposed project is still a ways off and won’t officially be announced anytime soon.
This is a project that has us here at MickeyBlog very excited. It makes a good deal of sense to give Yoda a standalone series. Current chatter online has been overwhelmingly positive as the character is loved by all corners of the fandom and his 900-year lifespan means Lucasfilm could tell a story set in a completely new time period for the saga.
Keep following along with MickeyBlog and we promise to keep you posted on this exciting project.
