New Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Boarding Group Display Boards Appear At Hollywood Studios
New digital display boards have popped up at Hollywood Studios in advance of the crowds for the highly anticipated opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on August 29th. Disney hasn’t officially announced the use of the virtual queue yet BUT we are hearing reports that informational cards are being placed in guests rooms at the resorts describing the process.
These new boards (along with the My Disney Experience app) should display if you will need to be part of a boarding group to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that day. They will only will list boarding groups if Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is at capacity. They should also display which boarding groups are allowed into the land currently.
We spotted three different digital display boards across Hollywood Studios. All of them are located next to Guest Experience Team umbrellas to help answer questions that guests might have.
The first is at the Indiana Jones Truck located next to Echo Lake. Currently it does not have a display up and running like the other two do.
The second digital display board is outside Keystone Clothiers . Currently it is displaying all wait times across Hollywood Studios.
Lastly, the third digital display board is located at the Toy Story Land entrance.
Download the My Disney Experience app before arriving and check the app or signage the day of your visit to find out if you will need to be part of a boarding group to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that day. The boarding group will save you a virtual spot in line so you can enjoy other experiences while you wait to be notified of a time to enter. This is so guests are free to enjoy the rest of the resort while waiting to get called back to enter the land.
