Future World Disappearing And Replaced With Epcot “Neighborhoods”
Disney had previously told us about a historical major transformation in store for Epcot. Today, the D23 Expo has just announced more details of what’s to come. It now appears that the designation of Future World is disappearing and in its place three “neighborhoods” are appearing. World Showcase is remaining and will be the fourth Epcot neighborhood. The names of these four Epcot Neighborhoods will be World Showcase, World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery.
World Showcase will continue to be a celebration of culture, cuisine, architecture and traditions but infused with new magic. World Celebration will offer new experiences that connect us to one another and the world around us. World Nature is dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty, awe and balance of the natural world. It will include The Land and The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilions. In World Discovery, stories about science, technology and intergalactic adventure come to life.
