It’s here. The official late-summer ramp-up to Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker is here. Today that ascendance comes in the guise of the Season 2 trailer for Star Wars Resistance.
Star Wars Resistance: Season 2 Trailer

Hello, Kylo…
The epic season finale kind of caught me off guard; asking myself if I knew this was it for our friends on the Colossus. However, in any case, the video clearly shows Captain Phasma, Sidon Ithano (The Crimson Corsair), Super Battle Droids, a member of the Guavian Death Gang, a Hutt, and — of course — Kylo Ren (a.k.a. Ben Solo).
Set amid the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the story picks up after a harrowing escape from the First Order, as Kazuda Xiono and the denizens of the Colossus wind up lost in space, pursued by Agent Tierny and Commander Pyre who have taken Tam Ryvora aboard their ship. In the enticing new trailer, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren himself makes an appearance, along with General Hux, Captain Phasma, and plenty of other familiar faces alongside new characters including a never-before-seen Hutt gangster. The thrilling final season promises to spotlight how even unlikely heroes can help keep the spark of hope alive in a troubled galaxy.
Can’t Wait For Star Wars Resistance
By the end of last season, this show was a staple of my week, and I am sorry to hear that we’ll be without Kaz and the gang going forward. However, given the show’s placement on the calendar and the statement “Set amid the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” perhaps this fall’s lead into Episode IX will have a preface.
I know that I will be watching for the debut on October 6, and scouring each episode for clues to the upcoming film.
