Disney Reveals Halloween Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Card

In case you’ve yet to play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom- Walt Disney World’s interactive card game- Halloween is the perfect time to start! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be returning to Magic Kingdom theme park beginning this Friday. To mark the occasion Disney is releasing a special Sorcerers collectors card. This year’s Halloween card (pictured above) was inspired by “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular.”

According to Imagineer Jonathan Ackley, the “Phantasmal Fireworks’ Flash” card was created after Merlin the Magician was so impressed with – and excited – by the new spectacular that he created a spell in its honor!”

For those new to Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, this interactive park experience allows guests of all ages to join the wizard Merlin on a quest to stop Disney Villains from taking over the theme park. Guests go on the hunt for secret villain hideouts with the help of a special map. You’ll visit magical portals where you use spell cards to thwart the evil villain’s plans!

Getting started with Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is easy. Simply pop by the Firehouse on Main Street U.S.A and a cast member will walk you through the process and give you a starter deck to start your adventure! This special Halloween event card will be distributed separately (and in addition to) the regular Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card packs at this location. Guests must register to play with their party ticket and event wristband in order to get cards.
