‘Home Alone’ and Other Classic Movies to Be Remade for Disney+
Lots of exciting Disney+ news has been confirmed over the past 24 hours by The Walt Disney Company CEO, Bob Iger. Yesterday, we reported that consumers will be able to bundle Disney+ with Hulu and ESPN+ for the low price of $12.99 a month. Today, we are excited to share that the iconic movie “Home Alone” along with a few other classic movies will be remade for the new streaming service.
With The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox, several movie titles that weren’t original Disney movies will be receiving a Disney makeover for a new generation. As mentioned, these movies include “Home Alone” as well as “Night at the Museum,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” and “Cheaper by the Dozen.”
It was not confirmed if these remakes will be in from of a new live-action movie, a cartoon, or even if they will be a series. A release date for “Home Alone” and the other movies has not yet been announced either.
Disney+ is scheduled to launch on November 12, 2019 and will be $6.99 a month if you opt to not subscribe as part as the bundle listed above.
