Could More Disney Projects Be In the Works for Beyonce?
In case you haven’t noticed, It’s Queen Bey’s world and we’re all living in it! That’s why we’re not surprised to hear, after the success of Disney’s live-action The Lion King that the Beyonce is currently in talks with Disney to collaborate on a few additional projects.
According to a recent piece in The Metro, it is rumored that Beyonce is currently looking into working on another film. According to a recent piece in The Sun newspaper those associated with the project claimed that Beyonce’s deal with Disney for The Lion King was one of the biggest for the studio to date and that they hope is the studio and the singer will continue to collaborate. The report suggests that Walt Disney Studios wants to expand her involvement by giving Beyonce free reign to create her own movies.
Beyonce played the role of adult Nala in the film starring alongside Donald Glover. As well as lending her voice to the film, Beyonce also put out an incredible soundtrack to the film which she referred to as a ‘love letter to Africa.”

Featured on the soundtrack are a host of Afrobeat artists from Nigeria and Ghana, such as Burna Boy, WizKid, Shatta Wale, Tekno, Yemi Alade and Mr Eazi, as well as South African artists Busiswa and Moonchild Sanelly. In addition, Beyonce kept it in the family with both her husband, esteemed artist Jay-Z and their seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy appearing on a number of tracks.
