Check Out Philadelphia’s Awesome Highlights By Trolley
During the first full day of the tour, guests will hop on board a private trolley to explore an impressive array of Philadelphia landmarks including The Liberty Bell, The Betsy Ross House and Independence Hall. Later in the day it’s off to the National Constitution Center before taking in a meal on your own at the Reading Terminal Market. Soak in the knowledge during this interactive look at the early days of the United States where you’ll find out about the creation of the American Flag, the importance of the Liberty Bell and where you and your family can sign a facsimile of the “Declaration of Independence.”
Learn More About the Civil War During Your Day at Gettysburg
During day 3 we fast-forward to the 1800’s where guests will visit the Gettysburg National Park Visitors Center. Your guide to one of the most important battles in the Civil War starts with the film A New Birth of Freedom and a look at an awesome cyclorama depicting how this battle played out. Lunch is at the historic Dobbin House Tavern where you can enjoy a colonial meal at this 200+-year-old restaurant before heading out to explore the battlefield with your personal guide. During the tour, you’ll also learn about President Lincoln’s immortal speech and get a taste of what life was like in the Civil War era.
Explore Washington D.C. by Day and Night
On day four, guests will be able to experience the sights and sounds of American’s Capital City with two awesome tours. During the day, visitors will travel by motorcoach to the Iwo Jima Monument where you’ll discover the details about the World War II battle and see first hand the iconic statue featuring 6 Marines raising an American flag on top of Mount Suribachi. Then it’s off to the Arlington Nation Cemetary where you can pay tribute to the over 400,000 veterans buried there. You’ll also be able to visit the final resting place of John F. Kennedy and take in the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. After enjoying some personal time in the afternoon your gang will reconvene for a privately guided walking and coach tour of Washington D.C. You’ll be amazed by the incredible national monuments all lit up at night.
