Disney World Reveals Best Bites For July 2019
Heading to Walt Disney World over the next few weeks? Then you’ll want to be sure to bring your appetites and try out all the new eats and treats making their way to the theme parks and resorts this month. From “The Lion King”-themed snacks that will have you singing “Hakuna Matata” to lobster sandwiches, plant-based burgers and more- there’s definitely something for everyone.
Check out some of the awesome items revealed by Disney this month:
“The Lion King” -themed Treats- Refreshment Outpost – Epcot
This Epcot snack shack is serving up a tantalizing array of delicious Lion King-themed treats. For something on the savory side try the Nigerian Meat Pie. Those with a sweet tooth will want to tuck into the No Worries Panna Cotta featuring raspberry, papaya and mango panna cotta with a cookie crumble base and white chocolate. Finally, there’s the refreshing Savannah Smoothie with coconut milk, agave (and cream liqueur for the adults!) You’ll find each of these ROARsome offerings available through the Fall.
Prix Fix Menu – Le Cellier Steakhouse – Epcot
Esteemed signature eatery Le Cellier at Epcot’s Canada Pavillion has brought back their Summer Prix Fixe Menu. For $55 per person plus gratuity and tax (or 2 Table Service Dining Credits for those on the dining play), visitors will receive one appetizer, one entree and one dessert.
Appetizers Include:
- Famous Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup
- Baby Iceberg Wedge Salad with marinated toy box tomatoes, edamame, Applewood-smoked bacon, fourme d’ambert blue cheese, and crispy onions with a buttermilk ranch dressing.
Entrees Include:
- Le Cellier Steak Sandwich (with USDA Prime New York Strip Steak on toasted ciabatta served with Parmesan-truffle fries)
- Le Cellier Surf and Turf Sandwich Combo (featuring a Canadian lobster roll sandwich and a Wagyu beef slider)
- Steamed Asian Style Dumplings (plant-based meat dumplings with bok choy, Chinese long beans, red peppers, radish, and Asian broth).
Desserts Include:
- Maple Crème Brûlée
- Duke Caboom’s Favorite Canadian Nanaimo (a chocolate coconut brownie with vanilla pastry cream, chocolate glaçage, maple meringue, and black raspberry-chocolate chip gelato).
The special menu is available until the 28th of August.
Vegan Burger – D-Luxe Burger
Vegan diners will love this new addition to the D-Luxe Burger menu. It features a plant-based patty with cabbage and mushroom ragout, mango salsa, lettuce, tomato and pickle on a vegan Parker House roll.
Seaside Sammich – BoardWalk Bakery
As you parade down the promenade at Disney’s Boardwalk be sure to stop by the bakery for this new on-the-go sandwich. It features lobster, shrimp, tomatoes, and bacon on a freshly-baked hoagie roll served with your choice of fries or potato chips.
2019 Critic’s Pick – Best Chef Award

6 Disney World Restaurants Featured in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Amusement Park Restaurants
USA Today also announced their 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Amusement Park Restaurants. These restaurants have been voted best in the U.S. for their food, atmosphere, and service. A panel of industry professionals teamed up with 10Best editors to select the initial 20 nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. Disney restaurants claimed an impressive 6 out of the top 10 spots! The winners are as follows:
- Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria – Epcot
- Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ – Disney Springs
- Be Our Guest Restaurant – Magic Kingdom Park
- Boma – Flavors of Africa – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- California Grill – Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
