Father Announces New Foundation Will Be Set Up In Cameron Boyce’s Name
Cameron Boyce’s legacy of kindness and philanthropy will live on. Yesterday his father Victor Boyce announced via Instagram that they would be creating the Cameron Boyce Foundation in his son’s honor.
The post reads “Now is the time to make a change. Donate what you can. Encourage your friends and family to do the same. Let’s keep Cameron’s legacy alive and make a positive difference in the World.” In the bio, there’s a link to the Cameron Boyce Foundation here’s a link to the website which is currently accepting donations.
According to the charity’s website, the goal of the foundation is to provide ” “young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity and uses resources and philanthropy for positive change in the world.”
As we reported earlier this month, Cameron Boyce passed away at the age of the 20 due to complications from epilepsy. Known for his work within Disney Channel series Jessie and the iconic Descendants films his untimely death has greatly impacted fans and colleagues with many taking to social media to highlights Boyce’s inspiration attitude and charitable achievements.
Among causes close to Boyce was the Thirst Project, a non-profit organization whose aim is to bring safe drinking water to communities around the world where it is not immediately available. Earlier this week Disney announced they would be cancelling the Hollywood Premiere of Descendants 3 and would instead be making a donation to this project.
