Galaxy of Adventures
For parents of a certain age, there’s a dilemma as to how to introduce The Saga to a new generation.
Do you start with the Original Trilogy, Prequel Trilogy, or Sequel Trilogy?
I say, start with “Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures.”
According to the official YouTube account, “Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures is a series of animated shorts celebrating the characters and stories of a galaxy far, far away, featuring a bright and colorful art style, exciting action, and insight.”
Yep.
And it presents Star Wars in easy-to-digest short snippets; produced with little chance of scaring young viewers.
And the latest three have been a trip!
Jedi vs. Sith
Experience the legendary conflict between the Jedi and the Sith as it unfolds across the generations.
Boba Fett – The Bounty Hunter
Boba Fett is one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy.
Han Solo – From Smuggler to General
Even a scoundrel like Han Solo can become a hero in the Rebel Alliance.
Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures
Given the nature of the Star Wars Saga, it’s pretty daunting to sit down with anyone under 10-years-old and expect to watch any of the eight saga films, two anthology films, or even the Clone Wars full-length feature.
These days, most children (heck, most adults) are more accustomed to shorter-length, YouTube-style videos anyway.
So, Galaxy of Adventures has that formula down. Each short episode takes a particular aspect of the saga, explains it, teases it, and leaves the viewer wanting more. If you have seen the actual films, these snippets will augment your viewing. If you haven’t, it won’t really ruin any future ventures to a galaxy far, far away.
And, there are a bunch of fun fact videos, too.
So, try out the shorts and let us know which is your favorite!
