Recently Conde Nast Traveler highlighted some of the incredible eateries and dining experiences at Walt Disney World that provide options that are just as special as riding your favorite attractions at the theme parks! We here at MickeyBlog would agree that for many of us, it is as much about the Dole Whip floats and incredible restaurants as it is about riding “it’s a small world.” That’s why we thought we’d pass on to you some of the best must-dos from their recent piece!

Wine Bar George – Disney Springs
Since opening last year, Wine Bar George has garnered a ton of accolades for their delicious eats, takeaway window and a wine list that is nothing short of incredible. As a matter of fact master sommelier George Miliotes serves over 140 types of wine which visitors can order up by the glass, ounce or bottle! Another thing that has Disney Springs regulars raving are the impressive charcuterie boards you can get here to accompany your wine. If visiting with friends try the “big board” which comes with 6 different types of artisanal cheeses, five types of meat, condiments and bread. The menu is also brimming with small plates perfect for sharing and with options like Spiced Olives, Housemade Hummus and Mac and Cheese Balls you can’t go wrong!
Jaleo by Jose Andres – Disney Springs
Enjoy a culinary tour of Spain at this eatery owned by James Beard Foundation Award-winner and humanitarian Jose Andres. Don’t know where to start? Try the Jaleo Experience- a tapas-style tour of Spain for $70 a person. However, the real draw here is the Paella which is the stuff of legend. You’ll find a variety of different Paella options available from the traditional to the downright interesting. They are all offered by the plate or the pan. Be sure to ask what special paella is being served up and sit back and relax. The paellas take about 45 minutes to prepare but we promise it’s worth it!
Taste of Magic VIP Tour – Magic Kingdom
Enjoy some of Magic Kingdom’s most iconic eats and treats while being treated like a VIP during this special guided tour! Offered five days a week, this tasting tour provides you with backstage access to some of the theme parks kitchen areas never before seen by guests. Most importantly guests will have the unique opportunity to sample some of these incredible. Bring your appetites to tuck into everything from turkey legs to dole whips. Celebration at the Top – California Grill – Disney’s Contemporary Resort
If you’re looking for a special way to watch the Magic Kingdom “Happily Ever After” fireworks display look no further than this dazzling rooftop dining experience at the California Grill. This special dining event features a menu highlighting the flavors of the Pacific Coast and special views of Magic Kingdom from the Sonoma Room and Napa Room at California Grill. The menu features Canapes, sushi and small plates as well as libations from the complimentary bar. Once the fireworks kick off you can step out onto the private observation deck where the music from the theme park is piped into the restaurant to heighten the experience. Highway in the Sky Dine Around – Monorail Resorts
For proper Disney foodies, it doesn’t get more memorable than this special dining event whisking guests to each of Disney World’s incredible monorail resorts to sample from a range of delicious eats! The evening begins at Disney’s Contemporary Resort where guests will be treated to an appetizer and a cocktail. Then it’s on to the Polynesian and Grand Floridian Resorts for a sampling of drinks and small plates. The evening then concludes back at the Contemporary for desserts, cordials and coffee before guests are treated to fireworks viewing from the private viewing deck at the California grill. The cost to attend this adults-only event is $170 per person.
Waynama Safari and Dinner – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
After the iconic Victoria & Albert’s Jiko is often referred to by Disney regulars as Walt Disney World’s best eatery and this special dining event really plays to its strengths. The magical night starts with a pre-safari reception inside Jikos. Guests are then treated to a 90-minute wildlife tour of the savannas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge before heading to Jiko for dinner. Here you’ll feast on traditional African dips and bread, sample African-inspired appetizers, enjoy short ribs, chicken and decadent desserts. Wine pairings are also available. The cost of this special dining experience is $209 per person including tax and gratuity.
Chef’s Table, Victoria & Albert’s- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
For those looking for the ultimate Walt Disney World dining experience, it doesn’t get better than this. Seating between two and eight people the three-hour Chef’s Table at Victoria & Albert’s will set you back $250 per person plus an optional $150 per person for wine pairings. You’ll feel like a proper Disney VIP as the team prepares a special tasting menu while you enjoy a birds-eye view of your meals being prepped in the open kitchen. Getting a reservation for this special feast is a bit like winning the lottery. Making your reservation at the 6-month mark is essential online or by calling 407.WDW.DINE.
