Disney Wonder Unveils New Enhancements with a French Quarter Flair
In case you haven’t heard, Disney Cruise Line’s 2020 Disney Cruise Line Itineraries go on sale this week! It’s such an exciting time to be cruising with Disney! From incredible destinations to unbelievable amenities there is something for kids of all ages. And, one of Disney’s original ships the Disney Wonder has just upped their game offering some brand new touches with a flair of the Big Easy.
French Quarter Lounge
At this new Disney Wonder watering hole, guests will get a dose of the Crescent City as you enjoy live music on the gazebo stage and sip on speciality drinks. Tying in beautifully with Tiana’s Place this is the perfect place to enjoy some pre or post-dinner drinks. During the day it will also play host to New Orleans-themed family activities, trivia and character encounters.
We’re confident you’ll love the jazzy new atmosphere of the lounge which also draws it’s inspiration from “The Princess and the Frog” and is designed to feel like a bright and airy outdoor space in New Orleans surrounded by wrought-iron balconies, and shutter-framed windows. Decorative details also include a life-size trolley car and nods to the film in the form of signs and facades on the walls add to the ambiance of the space.
New Space For Teens
Vibe, the club reserved for teens between the ages of 14-17 will be transformed into a contemporary place to hang out at sea. The space will be remodelled and will be given a timeless feel featuring an open, bright redesign. A light color palette, industrial metal work and a coffee bar will give Vibe a contemporary feel. New virtual reality tech will also be added to the list of activities for kids to enjoy during your Disney Wonder sailing.
New Adults-Only Cafe
The Cove Cafe is being re-designed on the Disney Wonder that will transform the look and feel of the cafe to that of a local coffee shop. The warm, comfortable and trendy decor will make it the perfect space for adults to relax and unwind. Ample seating will transform the Cove Cafe into a spacious, peaceful retreat where you can sip speciality coffee or tea throughout the day or enjoy wine, cocktails and lite bites in the evening. The Cove Cafe is also mere steps away from Signals Bar which is undergoing a similar transformation for a cohesive look.
The new enhancements debut on the Disney Wonder’s four-night sailing from Vancouver to San Diego on Sept. 30, 2019.
Disney Wonder Sailings
