Race in Paradise during the runDisney Castaway Cay Challenge
Are you a runner and wanting to go on the ultimate runDisney land and sea vacation? Then, the Disney Castaway Cay Challenge is for you! Compete in a runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend race and then sail to Disney’s Castaway Cay on a Disney Cruise to complete the second leg of the challenge!
Sail on the 4-night sailing of the Disney Dream to the Bahamas that departs the Monday after Marathon Weekend and when you stop at Castaway Cay on January 15, you will have the opportunity to run the Castaway Cay 5K before enjoying the private island’s white sandy beaches, snorkel lagoons, and much more. Participants of the Challenge will have the rare opportunity of racing next to Disney characters while experiencing enhanced entertainment and of course, tropical island breezes!
While the Castaway Cay 5K is offered during Disney Cruise Line stop to the island, the runDisney Castaway Challenge is only available to runners who have participated in at least one of the races during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Those participating in the challenge will receive exclusive access to a course chat to prepare for the race, a runDisney trivia competition, Challenge-exclusive merchandise, and access to a beer and champagne tent on Castaway Cay to celebrate your accomplishments.
And, what runDisney event is complete without a little bling?! Every Castaway Cay Challenge finished will receive a medal uniquely designed for the race. Stay tuned as the medal reveal will be coming soon!
