I’m going to give a warning before you start reading this. You are going to get super hungry! So, if you don’t have lunch plans, I suggest making them now as once you are done you are going to want to eat everything in sight! The new food options at Walt Disney World and Disneyland are sure to please any appetite!
New Food at Walt Disney World
Jaleo by José Andrés and Pepe
When Chef José brought his food to Disney Springs, he brought two new restaurants with him. The first is a table service concept called Jaleo and the other is its quick-service counterpart, Pepe. Both open for lunch at 11:30 am and offer flavors directly from Spain including tapas, paella, sandwiches, gazpacho, and much more.
Wine Bar George
There are several exciting things going on right now at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs including a new brunch offering! The Wine Country Brunch is offered on both Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm and features some exciting menu items such as Burrata with avocado and bacon, Wine Country Omelet with artichoke, asparagus, and an olive and tomato medley, and Eggs Benedict with house-made chicken sausage, hollandaise, and crispy polenta cake. Don’t forget the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits plate that includes house-made biscuits and bacon. Another Wine Country Brunch highlight is the Steak & Eggs Frites which offers a skirt steak, eggs, and sriracha hollandaise served over warm steak fries.
If you are looking for a sweet brunch option, the French Toast dish with brioche, mascarpone, and caramel sauce is not to be missed!
And, I don’t know about you, but brunch isn’t brunch without a mimosa. You can be sure that Wine Bar George has you covered! Their new Frozcato Moscato has been the talk of the town and is made with Dole Whip Pineapple, Moscato, and prosecco. Yes, a Dole Whip mimosa! There are also other featured drinks to choose from including the Aperol Rosé Spritz, sangria, frosé with rosé, vodka, and strawberry, and the Wake Up Call with espresso-infused barsol pisco and espresso liqueur.
But, let’s get back to that Frozcato Moscato (aka Dole Whip mimosa). You can actually get the drink for free when you purchase a limited-edition Wine Bar George stemless cup that will keep your drink cold for up to 9 hours. The cup is $35 and will include your free Dole Whip mimosa.
Whispering Canyon
Other new food options at Walt DIsney World include new breakfast skillets at Wilderness Lodge and Whispering Canyon. Whispering Canyon has recently introduced mouthwatering breakfast skillets that are not to be missed! There are several skillets to choose from so no one will walk away hungry. And, my favorite, each skillet includes Mickey waffles!
New Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Location
As we previously reported, a new Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. location is coming to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The new location that is located in the complex’s former Welcome Center will offer all of the favorite Joffrey’s sips and bites that Guests have come to love. There will also be an all-new, location-exclusive drink called the “Game Changer” -a new cold brew specialty beverage with a shot of espresso and light cream.
Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
It’s always Mardi Gras at Port Orleans – French Quarter! And, with the new Mardi Gras cupcake, you can celebrate all year long. The Mardi Gras cupcake features a vanilla cupcake filled with chocolate buttercream and topped with vanilla buttercream icing. Guests can find it at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory inside the Resort. While there, don’t forget to try out the sugar-dusted beignets!
New Food at the Disneyland Resort
Lamplight Lounge
The Lamplight Lounge inside Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park has added two new options to their “Shorts” and Share menu. The first is the Kobe Beef Sliders with beer and bacon cheese sauce, tomato-habanero chutney, lettuce, and pickled onions served on toasted Amish buns. If that’s not enough, then check out the Spotlight Nachos – a new rotational nachos dish that you definitely won’t want to miss. Currently, the Barbacoa Nachos are up and feature chile-spiced beef barbacoa and house-made tortilla chips topped with pinto bean purée, spicy tomatillo salsa, onions, cilantro, chipotle cheese sauce, queso fresco, and pickled jalapeños.
Now, don’t say I didn’t warn you! On a scale of 1 to 10, how hungry are you now? I’d say I’m about an 11.
