Hawkeye Will Be Getting His Own Miniseries On the New Disney+ Streaming Service
Hawkeye played by Jeremy Renner will be the latest superhero to receive his very own gig compliments of the new Disney+ streaming service which is slated to launch later this year! . According to a recent piece in The Hollywood Reporter we know that the series is currently in development.
The show will focus on Renner’s assistant Kate who is a well-known character within the Marvel Comics Universe but has yet to be featured in any of the films. Kate is a member of the Young Avengers and featured heavily in the highly-esteemed Hawkeye series from Matt Fraction and Alex Aja. Rumor has it she may even be making an appearance in Avengers: Endgame slated to open in theaters later this month.
This new Hawkeye focused miniseries is one of a few Marvel projects that Disney has set their sights on for the launch of Disney+ in Fall 2019. Other projects in the pipeline include a Loki with Tom Hiddleston already on board to reprise his role. Apparently, Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen will also be getting their own mini-series playing Vision and the Scarlet Witch.
