Easter Has Arrived at Tokyo Disney Resort

For the first time in two years, both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are offering their own springtime Easter-themed events.  The fun even extends to the fantastic resorts and the Disney Resort Line!

Let’s start with Disney’s Easter at Tokyo DisneySea.  This year’s celebration has a new theme this year and new  “usapiyo” characters – cute, innocent little chicks wearing bunny ears. You can check them out during the new “Tip-Top Easter” show taking place on the Mediterranean Harbor.  This special seasonal offering also features Mickey Mouse and his friends.  In addition, the “usapiyo” theme continues with decorations and fun photo locations around Mediterranean Harbor and American Waterfront.

Over at Tokyo Disneyland, bunny-eared, mischief-making egg characters dubbed “usatama” are back for another year and can be seen in the zany  “Usatama on the Run!” parade in addition to decorations around the park. Those looking for a special Easter keepsake should also head over to Toontown and nab a photo of the Easter Egg Maker!

Now let’s talk merchandise! As always you’ll find a wide array of Easter-themed items on sale across the resort.  This year the collection includes fluffy “usapiyo” plush toys and colorful bunny ears.  Select restaurants on property will also be offering “Egg Hunt Tasting. ”  Guests at the Disney hotels also have the chance to enjoy seasonal exclusives like themed postcards, room keys and amenities. The Disney Resort Line is also offering limited-period themed day pass tickets and souvenir medallions.
