Can Adults Order Off the Children’s Menu at Walt Disney World?
Whether you prefer a light bite in the middle of your Disney theme park visit or are a budget-minded traveller looking to shave a bit off of your dining expenses, you may be wondering whether it is possible for adults to order off the Kids Menu at Walt Disney World’s amazing eateries. The answer is a resounding yes (in most cases.)
Quick Service Dining
At each of Disney’s Quick Service Restaurants from the resort food courts to theme park restaurants, there is nothing stopping you from enjoying some of the smaller portion sizes and lighter bites that you’ll find listed under Kids Menu options. Healthy eaters will also want to be on the lookout for Disney Check meals. Looking for the Disney Check next to menu items means that a particular dish caters to those trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. These items are guaranteed to be nutritious and delicious! If you’re paying out of pocket, you can enjoy these meals at the kid’s prices. For those on the Disney Dining Plan, these meals will still be 1 Quick Service Dining Credit.
Table Service Dining
When it comes to Table Service Dining from Signature Restaurants to Character Dining policies vary depending on the eatery. Disney does enforce the policy that Kids Menus are designed for visitors 9 years of age or under. Many of Disney’s eateries like Be Our Guest Restaurant have been known to enforce this policy. However, you’ll find Cast Members at each restaurant that will be able to advise. From creating a bespoke entree for you to making suggestions on lighter items that you can find on the adult menu, you do have options available! However, it’s important to keep in mind that even if ordering lighter bites, adults should expect to pay the standard adult pricing at most Table Serve restaurants.
The same would go for buffet options like Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios, Tusker House at Animal Kingdom or Crystal Palace at Walt Disney World. Even you if are trying to eat on the lighter size at buffet-style restaurants, you will still be expected to pay the adult price for your meal!
So the long and short of it is that guests looking to save or order up smaller portions CAN order from the Kids Menu at Quick Service eateries around the parks and resorts and pay the kids prices. Those with reservations for Table Service meals should still be prepared to pay for an adult meal!
