Walt Disney World Packages, Rooms, and Park Holder Tickets Experience Price Increase
As I was running some numbers this morning and reviewing quotes I sent out to clients last week vs. quoting the same packages today, I noticed something. Higher prices for most dates in the Fall! After reviewing my numbers several times on various different quotes, I was able to confirm that Walt Disney World Packages did increase over night without notice. Per my review, it looks like several components of packages have led to the increase including the price of the room, price of park tickets, and the Park Hopper ticket option.
For example, last week I quoted a Walt Disney World package for two adults and one child who is 7 years old for dates of November 2 to November 8, 2019. For a stay in a Family Suite at Art of Animation and a 5-day Park Hopper, the total came to $3983.05. Today, with the exact same components, the total came to $4445.42. That is a total increase of 11.6%.
Walt Disney World Package Rack Rate Room Increases
As mentioned, the increase in prices is due to several components taking a rate increase. The first one is an increase of the rack rate room prices A rack rate is what a room will cost you without a discount applied. This increase will effect you if you were booking a Walt Disney World package or just a room-only reservation. There is a chance that a discount could be released later on but that is never guaranteed.
Walt Disney World Package Ticket Prices Increase
As we reported a few weeks ago, Walt Disney World raised their prices on stand-alone ticket. Stand-alone tickets are those which are purchased independently and not part of a package. We did caution that tickets as part of packages could also be increasing at a later date and that appears to be the case overnight.
Walt Disney World Park Hopper Price Increase
Park Hopper have also increased for most dates in the Fall. This increase is for both stand-alone tickets and those tickets purchased as part of a package. Previously, the cost of a park Hopper on a 3-day ticket was $69.23 per person. The new price is $74.55 per person on a 3-day ticket or about a 7.7% increase. The cost of a Park Hopper Plus ticket did not increase at this time.
What Can I Do Now To Get the Best Rate on a Walt Disney World Package?
Once can link the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World on August 29, 2019 and these rate increases. It’s hard to know at this time if any additional increases will be implemented prior to the Land’s opening.
